Foreign Policy Agreement : Treaty of Paris

You are tasked to write an essay of a minimum of 500 and not to exceed 1,000 words. This paper is one of two this term. Combined, these assignments will account for 25% of your grade. The topic of this essay will be a foreign policy agreement taken from the attached list.

First, the essay needs to address the context and background of the agreement. (This should be the largest part of the submission.) Why was it needed? Who was involved? Did it end a war? Prevent a war? Establish an institution?
It needs to discuss the text and verbiage of the agreement. What did it change? What was in it? Where and when was it signed? Who signed it? Finally, the paper needs to review if it is considered successful? Is it still in effect? Have there been changes to it?

Due Date: December 20th. All work should be posted to CANVAS. Essays will be penalized a half a letter grade for each day they are late.

Guidelines:

In addition to content, the essay will be graded on format.

All work is to be type written, 12 pt. New Times Roman, double spaced.
Proper paragraph and essay structure: Introduction (with thesis), the body (with support), and a conclusion (tying it altogether)
All sources must be properly cited using internal citations or footnotes.
A bibliography or reference list is required. It does not count towards the 500 words of your essay.
