Handbook Forum: Use this forum to discuss questions and observations related to any of the material in the Unit 1 Writing Handbook entries. Be sure to make at least one post of your own, to read through other students’ questions here (since their questions may well be your own), and to respond to at least three posts by your classmates.
SUMMARY:
Let’s get started by introducing ourselves to one another, and by reviewing some key ideas and approaches to college writing in general (and text-based writing in particular). I will be double-checking your placement and prerequisites and will contact you individually if you need to change your enrollment.
FIRST THINGS FIRST:
Send an email to me from the email account you intend to use this semester. Include your official full name, how you’d like to be addressed in class (alternate name, nickname, title, preferred gender pronouns, etc.), and any other information about yourself you wish me to be aware of. (Important note: Automated notifications about newly posted Blackboard announcements will be sent ONLY to your official BCC email address.)
