The Juvenile court vs. adult court
This semester you will research how juvenile courts differ from adult courts. For this assignment, you will write a research paper comparing the juvenile and adult court systems. This should use journal articles, government documents, and books (not newspaper articles or .com websites). Address the following questions about your topic: 1.) Briefly describe the history of juvenile courts, 2.) Describe a minimum of three laws that have shaped the juvenile justice system and rights of juveniles, 3.) Describe the benefits of having a distinct juvenile justice system, and 4.) Describe the criticisms of having a distinct juvenile justice system. Include references.
The paper needs to be a minimum of 3 pages, Times New Roman, double-spaced, with 1 inch margins (Your name, title, references, etc. do not count towards page length). The assignment must be uploaded to Blackboard.
