Questions that need to be answered:
Name of the Company?
What is the corporate structure (CEO, President, VP, etc)?
Divisions within the Company (Accounting, Engineering, IT, etc.)?
How does the company make money?

Lead-in:
As an IT security professional, you will be responsible for preparing security policies within your organization. Instead of starting from scratch each time, most likely you will refer to a lengthy policy template that covers a wide variety of situations. Your effort will be to tailor the template to fit the situation by editing out sections that are redundant or unnecessary.

This assignment requires you to tailor (condense) a 66-page security policy template to address the needs of a specific organization. After being assigned to a team by your instructor, your team decides which parts of the original policy to remove. Assigned weekly reading and course discussions will help guide your decisions.

The submission for this assignment will include the revised, condensed policy with accompanying documentation of the changes made by your team.

This assignment is due in Week 6 but is being introduced this week to allow time to organize your team’s efforts to complete it.

Each team will also prepare a presentation about their revised policy. Your team’s presentation will be shared for peer review by fellow learners. At the conclusion of the team’s work, you complete an evaluation of each member’s participation.

Assignment: Condense the 66-page ITSP Policy document by removing unnecessary redundant or otherwise unworkable sections. Your final policy document should be 30 – 35 pages long.
