osts: Every week, students will compose a 400-500 word post for the Canvas discussion board. The instructor will provide a topic for each post on Thursdays by 5pm. The post requires students to reflect on the reading for the week and its significance to how the student understands her/his own story of education and the idea of the university. Posts are due every Thursday by 5:59pm.
This week’s Prompt:
Responses: The posts act as a substitute for in-class discussions. If we were in class, you might offer an idea and explain to your classmates what led you to this idea. One of your classmates would probably chime in and explain how your post resonated with them and/or made them think about something else they read. It is in the spirit of such generativity of in-class discussions that responses to your classmates’ posts are required. Every week, in addition to posting to the discussion board, students are required to respond to an issue or raise question that emerged from two separate classmates’ posts.
