You are required to view one of the videos(videos are at the end). Select any video of interest to you for viewing.
After viewing your video, construct a posting for the discussion board. The posting must include the following::
PART 1. what did you find were the 3 most important pieces of information you learned from the video. number and list these points. its ok for different students to list different points for the same video. make sure to explain what you felt was the significance and importance of these points. SO YOU MUST CLEARLY IDENTIFY THE 3 POINTS. PREFERABLY BY NUMBERING THEM. FOR EXAMPLE –
PART 1
Main Point #1. Begin with a heading that states the MAIN POINT #1 – it must be a thematic statement, not a brief heading or a few words. leaving out this statement negatively impacts the grade

DISCUSS, EXPLAIN THE POINT. WHAT DID YOU LEARN FROM THIS. WHY DID YOU SELECT THIS TO DISCUSS? WHAT IS THE IMPORTANCE/SIGNIFICANCE OF THIS POINT.
FAILURE TO CLEARLY AND SEPARATELY IDENTIFY AND DISCUSS 3 POINTS WILL HAVE A NEGATIVE IMPACT ON THE GRADE (SEE GRADING RUBRIC ON THIS PAGE)
PART 2. make at least 1 connection to material from the text:
identify several terms/concepts etc that apply to your main points in part 1.. be sure to define the terms/concepts IN YOUR OWN WORDS. NO QUOTES. EXPLAIN THE MATERIAL IN YOUR WORDS TO DEMONSTRATE UNDERSTANDING. Be sure to specifically show the connection between the material and the points you discuss in #1. DONT JUST SAY THE TOPIC IS IN THE TEXT OR IT REMINDS YOU OF A TOPIC IN THE TEXT (0 POINTS EARNED FOR THIS), BE SPECIFIC. . Explain the themes/concepts in detail including definitions. Be sure to show the connection between the 3 main points you id and the material from the text. Why are you including this information? What is the significance?
Part 3. offer your thoughts and opinions on the topic (POV). make sure to give real life examples, connections to media, film etc. Do you agree/disagree with the information presented in the video? Why? (do not simply say I agree or I disagree – this is not an answer). What did you think of the material from the readings on this topic? Be sure to offer a SPECIFIC personal example or reference to a current event, parallel to a popular film and use this to demonstrate the relevance of the material in our everyday lives. You must come up with the example; ones from the video do not earn points for this part of the assignment. You wont earn points for a pov without an example

You will be graded by: the extent to which you complete the above, the clarity of your discussion, evidence of critical thinking etc.
