 A literary analysis is not merely a summary of a literary work. Instead, it is an argument about the work that expresses a writer’s personal perspective, interpretation, judgment, or critical evaluation of the work. This is accomplished by examining the literary devices, word choices, or writing structures the author uses within the work.
Using an argument presented somewhere within one of the thematic readings so far during this term or from an outside source, you will write a 1500-word minimum literary analysis essay in which you explore an issue presented in the literary work in order to make the appropriate connections between the creative work and the real world.
Some suggestions include: Love and Family Identity, Man Versus Nature, Technology, Gender, Marriage Relationships, Revenge, Prejudice, Coming of Age, Individualism Versus Society, etc., You may consider developing a sound argument about today’s society by analyzing literary examples.

Quality research is based on well-documented information, which is presented to the audience properly, by using quotes, paraphrasing, and summarization.
The assignment requires to cite and implement at least Three sources for this essay broken down as such:
1. Incorporate one argument explored within only one literary piece – either a poem, a short story or a play – we covered this unit from our textbook Literature for Composition (w/Out Access Code) Author: Barnett; Burto; Cain 11th Edition Publisher: Pearson / Longman (If you are working on a literary piece from the textbook).
2. Identify at least two other articles, journals, magazines, scholarly journals, Websites, etc., published from a credible source which highlights the issue found in society in order to demonstrate the timeliness of the issue.
