The analysis paper invites you to examine one song by Taylor Swift in order to explain the relationship between its narrative content and its musical design. In other words, how does the songwriter’s treatment of the music itself relate to the story told in the lyrics? Being an analysis paper, the evidence with which you support your argument(s) about the style of the music should relate primary to the observations that you make while listening to the song itself. Consider whether it is more appropriate to provide the name of the composer, the name of the performer, or the name of the YouTube user. The year should follow suit, to reflect when the music was composed, performed, or uploaded.
