THE MOVIE YOU ARE WATCHING AND WORKING ON IS THE TITANIC !!!!!!!!!

1. you should watch the film carefully, and perhaps multiple times, taking notes as you watch. Pay attention to the overall plot line, character development, as well as any relevant details – especially those related to the central ethical dilemma of the film.

2. and most importantly, you will need to write a 3 page (double-spaced, 12pt. Times New Roman) critical response to the film.
The first section of your critical response should begin with an introduction and brief summary of the film’s plot, characters, etc.
The second section of your critical response should discuss the specific ethical dilemma depicted in the film.
The third (and main) section of your critical response should discuss HOW the film specifically addresses the ethical dilemma. The following are some questions you may wish to consider: What, if any, ethical position(s) (from our course readings) does the film subscribe to and what kind of moral reasoning does it utilize to defend the side it takes? For example, does the film take a utilitarian or deontological (Kantian) stance? Perhaps it takes a stance consistent with an “ethics of care?” Or perhaps the film takes some sort of neutral or balanced stance on the ethical dilemma which it depicts?

3. Section of your critical response should briefly discuss whether or not you agree or disagree with the way in which the film dealt with the relevant ethical dilemma and should explain your agreement or disagreement.
