There are 5 Deliverables in the Attached instructions:

Deliverable 1: Document process activity using BPMN. After gaining an understanding of YNF’s business processes, you will document current processes using business process modeling notation (BPMN). This involves documenting at least five current business processes. These diagrams will serve multiple purposes. YNF expects to use them to train new employees. Plus, they will provide information about potential improvements to those processes by the efficient use of information technology. Additionally, they will also highlight areas where YNF is exposed to unnecessary risks in his business.

A sample (YNF Sales Process_BPMN) is attached. 3-4 additions BPMNs must be created based on the “1_Summary_of_YNF_Interviews” attachment.

Deliverable 2. Prepare a prototype database for YNF. Forrest has agreed to provide financial data from his business for the 1st quarter of his fiscal year. That data will be in Excel format. You will move the data into Access, structure it appropriately, and set relationships consistent with your data model. Make changes as necessary in file structures to implement efficient tables and eliminate duplication.

Deliverable 2 has been completed already. The Attached zip file has all of the queries created and needed.

Deliverable 3. Prepare financial reports using your database. You will prepare queries as necessary to provide the following reports and management information.
1. YNF income statement for the 1st quarter.
2. YNF balance sheet as of the end of the 1st quarter.
3. Other performance measures that you believe YNF should adopt.
4. Evaluate the financial performance of YNF for the 1st quarter. Use your Access queries to also prepare formal financial statements and compute appropriate ratios to evaluate performance against the industry and past performance. Clearly explain what those ratios mean for Mr. Z’s business.

Use the queries created in deliverable 2 to create the following reports. Then provide a brief explanation of the figures in the income statement, balance sheet and ratios. A template has been attached, you do not have to use this template.

Deliverable 4. Assess the business case for use of information technology in the business. Y Not Flowers wants to move to a cloud-based accounting system, such as Netsuite or QuickBooks Online. Your assessment should identify the costs of the change in technology, while also specifying which business processes would change and how they would change in as much detail as possible. Recommend changes to YNF business processes to make it more effective and efficient.

Guidance for Deliverable 4: Make a list of impacts of changes that improve the effectiveness and efficiency of processes and list references to specific BPMN changes as per the business processes in Deliverable 1. Costs can be a rough estimate, as they need not be precise. An example you can include in your assessment memorandum is the cost and process efficiencies gained when implementing smart terminals/cash registers at the stores. Another example could be the adoption of various credit card and smart card processing services. Lastly, the mere movement from a manual or legacy based accounting system to Netsuite or Quickbooks Online will allow YNF to leverage process improvements and reduce the cost and maintenance for infrastructure when implementing a cloud- based model

Deliverable 5. Perform a risk and control of YNF’s business processes and provide a summary of findings. Include in your summary findings a table analyzing compliance with COSO principles and recommendations.

Deliverable 5 should be 2ish page memorandum on findings.
