Personal statement describing your reason for pursuing graduate study and leadership objectives in 300 to 350 words. Your statement of goals should briefly, but meaningfully, introduce yourself and describe what you hope to achieve by earning a graduate degree at St. John’s. For example, applicants may address such topics as why they chose St. John’s, what professional steps they plan to take after earning their degree, and the way that they can contribute to the graduate community if accepted.
Hi my name is Michelle and I am applying for early childhood masters program at Saint Johns. I have my BS degree in psychology. I currently work as a paraprofessional in a middle school in an ICT classroom setting. I also am a registered behavioral therapist doing ABA therapy for kids who are diagnosed with autism. I would like to pursue a career in early intervention and then continue my education doing speech therapy.
