This Engage workbook concludes the module on academic integrity and academic misconduct. You are now asked to reflect on your commitment to academic integrity and how you will approach your future assessment tasks. It will help you to:
• Develop strategies to avoid academic misconduct
• Reflect on your own commitment to academic integrity and honest assessment work
• Identify a range of academic writing or study skills support at the university
As the final activity for this Academic Integrity Module (AIM), you are now required to write a 500 word reflective statement. This should:
• briefly describe the activity that led to you be required to complete this module
• reflect on why you engaged in this activity
• outline the strategies that you will use to develop stronger academic integrity skills to more effectively engage with your future assessment tasks.
• explain your personal commitment to academic integrity in the future
The reflective statement should be presented in your own words and indicate a genuine understanding of the issues. If you choose to refer to other sources, for instance a relevant policy or procedure document, please remember to reference them appropriately. Any references will not be included in the word count.
Please note that the essay may be processed through Turnitin which is a software tool that checks for originality and plagiarism.
Instructions
This reflective statement should be presented in an essay format. That is, no lists or bullet points.
It should be approximately 500 words.
At the top of the page, please write your full name, student number and the date.
