Please answer each of the following three essay questions. Each finished essay must be at least 500 words in length and be written in grammatically correct English. To complete these three essays, you may use your notes, your text, or any other sources that you choose. However, if you use any sources other than your text and notes, you must also submit a bibliography to identify those sources. Still, be sure that your submission is in your own words!!!
You will have until Monday, June 22, 2020 at 11:59 PM to complete this exam. Making sure that you are utilizing either a Microsoft Word or RTF document,please submit your completed exam through the link provided below (click on the title “Click Here To Submit Mid-Term Exam”) prior to that date and time. Unless you clear any specific problems with me before that date and time,late exams will be penalized or may not be accepted at all. 1) Using a minimum of 500 words, write an essay discussing the struggle the Greek-Speaking world faced in uniting all of Greece into one political unit. During your discussion, be sure to address the following questions: Why were Athens and Sparta somehow unfit or unable to lead a united Greece? Why were the Macedonians able to succeed in uniting Greece? Was Greece ever really united prior to this?
2) In the nineteenth century, the popular European view of sub-Saharan Africa was that the area had been uncivilized and was only beginning to become a civilized continent after Europeans had “discovered” the region and brought civilization to these “backward” people. Do you agree with this popular nineteenth century view? Write a minimum 500-word essay in which you defend your position.
3) In the early 300s CE, Emperor Constantine converted to Christianity. Conforming to the above guidelines, write a minimum 500-word essay in which you discuss the impact this event had on the history of the world.
