The world we live in is being fundamentally changed as a result of the wide spread of the COVID-19 pandemic. The inability of governments across the globe to put it under control brought in various economic, political and social repercussions. Middle Eastern countries are no exception in this regard. With many of the vital economic activities, such as tourism and aviation, put to freeze accompanied by a slowdown in the international economy, leading to a sharp decline in the demand for oil and for the transit routes through the region, the economic challenge is unprecedented.
