ASSIGNMENT 3310 / Violation
For this assignment you are to do watch this documentary of a real case and find the constitutional violations or problem.
There are 4 identifiable issues/violations in this case.
Identify the violation or problem by:
1) DESCRIBING what the police or prosecution did that constituted the violation or issue,
2) explain WHAT part of a specific Amendment was violated or is at issue.
3) and explain WHY the specific action by the police is a violation.
If you did NOT see something take place in the movie – assume the police did NOT do it (such as whether the police read the suspect his Miranda rights or not).
POINTS
Identify the issue or violation and the Amendment that covers that issue = 2 points
Description of the action taken by the police that constitutes the violation or issue = 2 points
Discussion of why it is a violation (here you should be able to cite case law that pertains to the situation)
