Final Exam Directions
History 7 online – Summer 2020
Your Final Exam should be submitted as one single document via the canvas
course site and will be due on Thursday July 02 at 2:00pm. **No late
submissions will be accepted, and this is not negotiable. ** It is your
responsibility to correctly submit this assignment by the due date and time.
Cutting and pasting into the comments is not a proper submission, nor is
attaching a file to the comments section of canvas. You are also not allowed
to directly email me your final – it must be submitted via canvas.
YOU MUST SUBMIT A FINAL EXAM
IN ORDER TO PASS THE CLASS – NO EXCEPTIONS
If you anticipate that internet connection will be a problem, please make sure
to find a solution before the due date. Also be aware that many students
tend to submit at the very last minute so it might be possible that
canvas can get heavy traffic, to avoid any possible issue please try
submitting this exam well before the deadline.
For this exam, please do not include any outside sources (no other websites or
materials are necessary or will be accepted). Please only use the class
lectures, assigned videos, and any assigned readings from the class to
support your ideas. Try to avoid anecdotal examples and root your answers
in the course materials. Again, you are not allowed to cut and paste your
response via the Canvas comment section, and you are not allowed to email
me your assignment directly.
There are specific word counts for each part of the Final Exam, please
try your best to adhere to these word counts. A few words over or under
won’t be a huge issue, yet if your responses are significantly under or over the
word count that will affect your grade. These are rather short responses so you
have to decide what the most important ideas are, and how you will most
effectively discuss those ideas.
Please read the entire document carefully before you begin your exam
*All of your responses must be 12-point font, double-spaced, proofread, and
submitted as a single pdf or word document, on time via Canvas, and you must
put your name and date on your submission. If these directions are not
followed you will absolutely lose points. *

definition for the ID term and also provide why the term is significant, how
does it connect to our broader class themes and readings, what does the term
reveal about the particular circumstances of U.S. history. Try to avoid
anecdotal examples and root your answers in the course materials (primary
sources, lectures, videos, etc.). Each ID term response should be
approximately 250 words in paragraph form.

response (from Voices of Freedom). Your essay should be approximately 1000
words. Try to avoid anecdotal examples and root your answers in the course
materials. *Please note that if you do not include a thoughtful interrogation
of the assigned primary sources you will lose a significant amount of points.
Please read the entire document carefully before you begin your exam
