Blink Report Format
Gladwell, M. (2005). Blink: The power of thinking without thinking. Back Bay Books: New York, NY
Carefully read the book by Malcolm Gladwell. Pay particular attention to the scenarios he describes that are related to diversity issues. He discusses theories and research about how we form our first impressions and create biases. Your job is to select five of the scenarios from throughout the book and describe each scenario. End each scenario with your statement of how this relates to issues of diversity and what we can learn from this research or study.
Organize your report using the following outline:
Introduction (Introduce the major themes of the book)
Describe the scenario.
Remember to include your statement at the end of each scenario.
Conclusion. Add your own summary statement regarding the relevance of this book to diversity studies.
Deliverables:
1. The minimum page count for the paper is five (5) pages not including cover and references. Please compose this using APA format. Be sure you base your statements on content found in the Gladwell book or from our textbook—avoid opinions based only on your personal beliefs.
