Paper Writing Style Requirements
All written assignments must be in term paper format. Assignments will be graded based on the extent to which you answer the assigned questions, the quality/thoroughness of the overall analysis, and adherence to the APA and other style requirements outlined below.

Written assignments must have an introduction and a conclusion paragraph. Note that these paragraphs must be separate from the body of the paper in which you answer assigned questions.

The written analysis may be up to 5 pages and no less than three in length, excluding exhibits (no limit).

Use a 12-point font and have one-inch margins.

Papers must be typed with double spaces.

Read the attached information and conduct additional research to answer the following questions.

Prior to the first NBCUniversal investment, what was Comcast’s strategy? Explain your answer using facts about the company. You must identify the firm’s business and corporate strategies (if a corporate strategy exists).

What type(s) of diversification does the NBCUniversal transaction represent for Comcast? Identify all types of diversification and explain your answer with facts about the two firms.

Which expansion mode does this deal represent? What are the benefits of this expansion mode? What are the risks that this expansion mode might fail?

Since the NBCUniversal addition to the firm’s portfolio of businesses, did Comcast create or destroy value in NBCUniversal? A case for value creation must demonstrate that the benefits of the transaction outweigh the costs. Quantify your answer with evidence of value creation (or destruction).
