Leininger (1995) cites, “ There is a marked increase in migration of people within and between countries worldwide. Transcultural nursing is needed because of the growing diversity that characterizes our growing national and global populations. Diversity refers to differences in race, ethnicity, national origin, religion, age, gender, sexual orientation, ability or disability, social and economic status, class education and other attributes.”
The objective for this assignment is to recognize the different forms of culture. These forms are not limited to ethnic or racial groups. Exploration of a cultural type will be decided by each student in their selection of a scholarly article from a journal selected from the EBSCO site.
The article chosen will be analyzed with a written 2 page report. A copy of the article must accompanied the written assignment.

10 points: Identification of 2 references sources used in the article
20 point: 1) Explain how this article increased your knowledge by disproving myths and stereotypes that are commonly formed against this culture. And 2.) How the information in the article affects the patient’s ability to cope
