When we first meet Gilgamesh, he is not heroic material. Asa person he is hardly remarkable but he is physically impressive. He is a king but he is not worried or even care about his people. In fact, he engages in deplorable acts. However, a few pages later Gilgamesh is transformed and his energies are devoted elsewhere. How does this change come about in Gilgamesh? Who changes Gilgamesh and with what result? Do you think this transformation is believable? Write an assessment of Gilgamesh as a man, a king and his transformation. (400 words)
