Create a Google Slide presenting a day in your created child care center that:
Puts Children’s Needs First
Is Developmentally Appropriate
Provides Play
Must include:
Slide 1 – Name of Center and Age group your program will serve (Infant/Toddler, Preschool or Combination of the two)
Slide 2 – Daily Schedule of your Program (Chapter 3)
Slides 3 & 4 – Indoor Environmental diagram & Materials list – Diagram needs to have labeled spaces that provide for all learning centers/content areas discussed in textbook and recorded lecture. (Chapter 4). List of Materials you would provide for each Learning Center (minimum 5 items in for each Learning Center). When designing indoor space be sure to keep in mind all that was discussed in Chapter 4 and recorded lecture.
Slide 5 & 6 – Outdoor Environmental diagram & Materials list – Diagram needs to have labeled spaces that provide for all areas discussed in rextbook and recorded lecture. (Chapter 12) List of Materials for Outdoor space (minimum 10 items). When designing outdoor space be sure to keep in mind all that was discussed in Chapter 12 and recorded lecture
Next Slides – What are the play experiences you would provide for a day in your program? Maximum of 6 slides
All learning centers/content areas discussed in class must be provided. Experience plans can (and some will need to) integrate more than one content area
If you do more than 1 age group you must have experience plans that meet developmental needs for each group.
Experiences must be appropriate for the age group your program cares for and meet the 3 Tenets of Curriculum (Chapter 1).
Each slide must have title of experience and the Learning Centers it provides for.
You may use a theme for experiences.
When you begin working on your Google slide project you must send me to edit, so I can guide you in your process.
