What you observe should be clearly related to group dynamics (e.g. leadership, group cohesion etc.). Do not just report in a descriptive way what you observed, you need to demonstrate your critical thinking and analysis (i.e. assessment) skills throughout the paper. This requires the construction of a clear argument(s) that is (are) supported by existing empirical and conceptual literature.

References from your course readings and other external resources should be used to substantiate your argument and logic throughout. There is no specific number of references that should be used. The purpose of using references in a critical analysis or essay paper is to provide evidence for your logic or argument. For example, all generalized statements made should be supported with references. Likewise, when engaged in a process of causal logic, where relationships (i.e. ‘if” ‘then’ type of statements) are being reported, these should by supported by secondary literature.
