Be sure to label each section of your paper. Cite at least 7 high quality sources to support the arguments you make in each of the following sections.

At minimum, you must use the following source types: 2 peer-reviewed scholarly articles, 1 newspaper or periodical, and 1 government, university, or research institution source.

Problem:

What is the problem?
Why is this problem significant in your region?

Include information about the existence, magnitude, urgency, and relevance of the problem. This section should be a revision of your Problem Analysis Paper.

Solution:

What is your recommended solution?

Clearly identify your solution in 1-2 sentences. Be very specific about how you want your audience to volunteer and/or donate. Remember, this is the main goal of your persuasive speech, so make sure you are very clear and concise about what you want your audience to do.

EXAMPLES:

“I want my audience to volunteer to help coordinate the annual fundraising auction at ABC Agency. ”

“I want my audience to donate at least 2 items to the ABC Agency’s winter clothing drive.”

How and why will this solution effectively address the problem?
Why did you choose this nonprofit?

This section should focus on your nonprofit organization and provide evidence that addresses the response efficacy of your proposed solution.

Barriers:

What are the barriers that may prevent your audience from enacting your recommended solution?
How can you overcome these barriers?

This section should address the self-efficacy of your audience.
