Purpose
The purpose of this assignment is to describe the assessment maneuvers of the region of interest. Its goal is to achieve understanding of the basic physical examination skills and describe the normal findings primarily, normal variations and relevant abnormal findings. The assignment will allow the development and articulation of the first phase of the nursing process, the assessment. Late policy applies to this assignment.
This assignment has four components:
first, identify the region or system of interest;
second, identify the phases (steps) of the assessment in logic sequence;
demonstrate the maneuvers in logic sequence;
and fourth, define the expected findings of the normal adult.

Apply the assessment component of the nursing process.

Demonstrate critical thinking and documentation skills in order to perform his/her nursing duties with appropriate judgment.

Preparing the Assignment
The presentation should follow the guidelines of professional presentations, observing the rule of 7 and no more than 12 slides. For those slides with text this text should not exceed 7 lines, with no more than 7 words per line. Explanations and comments should be added in the comments section, below the slide. Pictures and diagrams should be properly cited using in APA style.
