You are just graduated with your undergrad degree, and you are hired by an organization as a junior HR staff. The organization is facing a problem these days, and the leadership team has asked the human resource department to analyze the issue and come up with some solutions and suggestions to overcome that challenge. Your manager in the HR department remembers that you have recently passed an introductory course in I/O psychology and asks you to research the issue in the I/O psychology academic papers to see what is the viewpoint of the I/O psychology about that problem, and what are the findings of I/O psychology studies about that topic. How I/O psychology researchers are analyzing this situation, what are the contributing factors that are identified by recent studies and what are the solutions and suggestions for this problem? Therefore, you are assigned with writing a 9-10 pages paper, APA style, using at least six peer-reviewed articles that are published after 2010. You should explain the problem, explain why it is important, analyze it, talk about the possible reasons and contributing factors, explain the nature of the relationship of those factors with the problem and suggest solutions for the problem. Everything must be evidence-based and come from peer-reviewed articles only.
The goal is to go over and beyond the course material and to understand how I/O psychologists research, understand, analyze and solve the human resource problems of the organizations.
Finally, the paper will ultimately answer the following questions regarding micro-aggressions in a work place: o What is the issue you’ve chosen? Where is it happening? When is it happening? To whom it applies? o Why is it important? o What are the reasons the issue exists? What are the contributing factors?
