· Presentation with PowerPoint

o Students must research one of the topics below and create a PowerPoint presentation based upon their findings. After students choose their topic, they are required to find at least two academic sources (scholarly journal articles and books) to learn more about the topic; the course textbook can be one of these sources. Students should use the college Library or Galileo to find these resources; Wikipedia is not an appropriate source for this assignment. ALL RESOURCES USED SHOULD BE CITED IN APA FORMAT.

o Students must present virtually through Blackboard Collaborate for 3 minutes

§ Students should practice their presentations to ensure they are only presenting for 3 minutes (students will be penalized for not meeting the 3 minute requirement).

o Provide an accurate description of the chosen topic and fully answer all parts of the prompt.

o Create an engaging, highly-creative (using color, animation, etc.), and well-organized PowerPoint presentation of at least seven slides to use in your presentation. NOTE: Students are required to use the Microsoft PowerPoint program to create their slides; presentations created using other programs (Google Slides, etc.) will NOT be accepted. PowerPoints will be submitted electronically to instructors and displayed through a screen sharing tool during virtual presentations. PowerPoint files should be saved and submitted as a .ppt, .pptx, or .pdf file.

o Demonstrate a variety of public speaking skills (including, but not limited to eye contact, engaging delivery, clarity of speech, word choice, etc.). Extra credit will be given for students who dress professionally for their presentation.

o DO NOT PLAGIARIZE. Plagiarism will result in a zero for this assignment.
