Most of the required information that you need for this assignment is here, and the secondary sources that you have found should work well in your essay for WP3. There are, however, many problems here that worked to bring your grade down significantly. First, you need to craft one intro paragraph that introduces your primary texts, makes a claim for how those primary texts depict some aspect of the American identity, and offers a general overview of what you learned about your topic through the research process. After your intro paragraph, you then need to cite your first source according to MLA guidelines (you use APA in your citations) as you would on a Works Cited page and then immediately follow that citation with your annotation (summary) of that source that includes a direct quote from the source. You then repeat this process for the remaining five secondary sources. If you look closely at the student sample that I provide, you will see exactly how you need to format your document.
