You are a hospital communications specialist working within the marketing and communications department of George Mason Hospital. You have been asked to give a talk in the community describing a component of the U.S. healthcare system and how that component of the healthcare system affects your hospital.

Your job is to educate those who may not be familiar with the healthcare system about the topic and explain what best practices George Mason Hospital uses to respond to changes related to the specific topic you are assigned to. How does your hospital adapt? Keeping in mind that the U.S. healthcare system is turbulent and changes rapidly.

Specifically, you will inform the group about one of the following:

Start the presentation with a brief Introduction/Overview

Use the majority of the body of your presentation to describe the major components related to your assigned topic and how George Mason Hospital reacts to changes related to your topic.

Remember the audience – tailor this talk to a group of people not familiar with the healthcare system

Limit your presentation to no more than 20 slides, but no less than 15. The title slide and reference slides do not count as part of the 15-20 slides. They are extra.

· I encourage you to experiment with slide narration using Kaltura or the built in PowerPoint feature that will record one team member’s voice or multiple team member’s voice. I also encourage you to experiment with adding multi-media to your presentation (e.g., maybe a short video). These are not required or necessary to earn a top grade, but they will help to bring your presentation to live.
