Rhetorical analysis
For our second paper, I want you to write a 2-3 page paper (not counting a works cited page) that analyzes the rhetoric of an advertisement of your choosing. The ad can be print, digital, or video. Be sure to provide a brief description of the ad. Consider the speaker of the piece, the audience, and the context, as well as the ethos, logos, and pathos. You can discuss whether or not the piece is persuasive, but that shouldn’t be the focus of your paper.
Paper should be 12pt Times New Roman (or similar font of the same size) and double spaced. MLA formatting is required.
A successful paper will do the following:
Concisely describe the selected advertisement.
Consider the speaker, audience, and context of the ad.
Show a good understanding of ethos, pathos, and logos.
Follow MLA formatting standards.
