Instructions

Make sure you have read chapters 4 and 5 in your textbook before attempting this assignment. Prep 1 has four parts, described below.

Part 1: Create Hypothetical Organization
Create a hypothetical organization (name and logo) that you will use for your HR New Employee Recruitment Project and the Final Onboarding PowerPoint Presentation. In the first section of your paper, summarize the type and size of your hypothetical organization, provide its name, and include its logo as an image or graphic object. Use the name and logo on all forms and example letters you create. Include them prominently in the Onboarding Presentation.

Part 2: Job Analysis (using a questionnaire)

Choose a job to analyze in your hypothetical organization. Choose a job type for which you are familiar so that you can analyze it in a realistic manner.
Analyze your chosen job using the job analysis questionnaire (attached as a PDF below) as your guide, answering the questions as appropriate for the position you have chosen.
Refer to Chapter 4 of your textbook and the following website as resources to help you research your chosen position: O*NET Online
Document the results of your analysis in an orderly fashion in this section of your paper, identified by a section header.

Part 3: Job Description (outline of job duties to be performed)

Use the job description template (attached as a PDF below) as your guide.
Based on your answers in the job analysis, formulate your job description as described in Chapter 4 of your textbook.
You may use O*NET Online as an additional resource.
Document your job description in this section of your paper, identified by a section header.

Part 4: Sample Job Posting (where you would place it and its estimated cost)

Use the job posting template (attached as a PDF below) as your guide.
Using the job analysis and job description, create your job posting as described in Chapter 5 of your textbook.
Refer to any recruiting websites of your liking to see more samples of job postings.
Document the job posting itself, where you would post it, and the estimated cost of the posting. Place this in its own section of your paper, identified by a section header.

Organize your paper into sections according to the four parts above. Do not use APA formatting; rather, the format in a business-professional manner that promotes easy reading and understanding. Regardless of format, remember that you must always cite your sources, including the textbook, O*NET, or any other external source. Use in-text citations in APA format, and include a reference page of all sources in APA format at the end of your document. Submit everything together as one Microsoft Word document.
