Paper #3: Case Study/Presentation (30%)
Paper length:
Submit a written description of a proposal (7-8 pages not including title page or references page) and with a minimum of eight scholarly articles/resources. Think of this as three small papers in order to cover all topics below: Magnet, Recruitment/Retention, and Nursing Peer Review. Then, introduce your paper and summarize the main points at the end.

You are the VP for nursing in your organization and have assessed several needs for improvement, including Magnet application, an enhancement of division-based recruitment and retention strategies, and the development of a peer review process for the examination of critical incidents in nursing. In your proposal describe:

You need to initiate the process of Magnet application. How would you plan the project including participation from clinical, management, and education staff?
Describe 3 research-based recruitment/retention strategies for development.
Explore the development of a peer review process for the examination of critical incidents. Research the meaning of a peer review process for these kinds of situations. Using management and peer review concepts, include concepts such as just culture and collaboration among clinical and administrative professionals.
For each section Include likely obstacles during these processes and what resources you will employ to manage the issues.

Criteria for Body of Paper/Case Presentation:
All areas need to be addressed in a comprehensive manner, using evidenced based strategies and high-quality resources. Resources must be articles from credible sources, such as peer-reviewed nursing journals and evidence-based research. The concepts learned in the course should be threaded throughout your paper.
Each area specifies the individuals to be involved in the development of the process, how the decision-making and implementation will take place, how the staff will be engaged, how the plan will be communicated, and how the outcomes will be measured.
