USE THE INSTRUCTIONS DOWN BELLOW TO WRITE THE ESSAY
I WILL PROVIDE 10 SOURCES AND YOU HAVE TO FIND 4 ACADEMIC SOURCES (14 IN TOTAL)
Instructions
Choose one of the inequalities we covered this semester. After reading the Social Change readings, write 1500-3000 words answering the following questions:
How do you know that this is inequality?
Where does this inequality come from and why is it still happening (how is it created and maintained)?
Create a solution to the inequality. This can be a suggested program, an educational series, etc.
What does this solution look like? what are the steps? what exactly is your solution? what resources will you need to make it happen?
How will you inform people about your solution (tell me how you will get your solution out there)?
How will your solution impact this inequality?
What are some limitations or obstacles you might face?
Expectations (i.e., what you will be graded on)
Word count: 1500 minimum 3000 maximum. If you’re going on the short end, make sure your position is strong.
Your demonstrated knowledge of the material: whether or not you agree with the material presented in this course, you should still be able to demonstrate that you understand it. I expect you to use some of the key terms and concepts, in proper context and not as a part of a large quote from the book.
Cited course materials: I expect that you will cite a minimum of 10 course materials relevant to whichever topic you choose.
Cited outside materials: I expect that you will cite a minimum of 4 academic outside resources. Find some journal articles using WSU’s library website. Having trouble finding resources? Check the library tips section below.
Quotes from materials: You do not have to include any quotes at all. But if you do, know that using too many will impact your grade. Direct quotes should only take up 1/8 maximum of your paper. When you quote often, especially in large chunks, it tells me that you don’t truly understand the concept well enough because you’re unable to put it in your own words.
