Netflix “Social Dilemma” Review
Go to Netflix and watch Social Dilemma. If you do not have Netflix, find someone who does, use your laptop or phone. Plan a time when several of you can get together and watch at the same time. It is a documentary of interviews with presidents and executives of Facebook, Twitter, Instagram, Tik Tok, and Google, as well as a couple of others. Listen to what they are saying about social media manipulating humans. Watch for Motivation, Incentive, Intrinsic Motivation and Extrinsic Motivation. Write a one to two page summary from your point of view on how these are used, what is happening behind the scenes of social media and what, if anything, you think needs to be done.
