Identify a person with whom the majority of your audience is familiar. This “person” can be living or dead, fictional or non fictional. Research the persons background and construct a short 60 second speech revealing milestones in their life. Share the milestones in chronological order , begin at the beginning, end at the end. Be sure to build it at the end and introduce them in an exciting way. (Don’t do a guessing game this is an introduction speech).
Sharing important highlights and details about the speaker’s background and achievement helps to build the ETHOS (speaker’s credibility). Very often, speakers are formally introduced by someone else. Be sure to make the speech about them, not you! Introduce the name at the end, keep the audience curious about WHO it is. Build the speech and end with a climax.

For this assignment … you are required to have FUN – be creative! Fictional characters, cartoon characters, or real individuals living or dead may be introduced, provided the audience can identify the individual. ADD EXTRA! Develop. Working from your Plan of Action from the Famous Speech, focus on how you plan to improve as a speaker. Focus any delivery principles you failed to master in your Famous Speech (refer to your feedback). Locate where exactly you will implement each part of your plan.

Have fun with a person or character you and your audience enjoy.
Reflect on your delivery, identifying your strengths and weaknesses.
Provide meaningful feedback to your peers’ growth.
