For this 900-word MLA style essay, written in 3rd-person, please choose a social or cultural concept or stereotype to define and re-define in your own words. What is the definition of success today in America? What is equality between women and men? What is prejudice? What is the harmful effect of the word retarded, or even the word crazy? In re-defining a key word crucial to a cultural concept or stereotype’s general positive or negative meaning and/or effect:

2) Explore the traditional meaning and where and why it falls short, or does not represent a realistic or helpful humanist concept in the world;
3) And overall, address the question of how your re-definition of the key or crucial word could be a more powerful, positive force for change.
