Final Project Proposal-Chinese or Japanese history

Your final project proposal states the topic you will work through and the material you hope to present through your work this term. It also presents an outline for the resources you will be utilizing to produce your work. It should be approximately two pages and consist of three main sections.

First, you need to state which option you are choosing and introduce the topic you will be studying. This section should include a statement of the topic within Chinese or Japanese history that you will be focusing on, the specific question you hope to answer through your research, and why it matters. In other words, what will answering this question help us to understand

Second, describe where you will look to find this answer. Since the proposal reflects your preliminary sense of the resources available to you, this section cannot yet be comprehensive, but it does need to demonstrate that you can accurately identify a relevant range of materials.In this section, then, identify some of the sources that you plan to use for this paper or project. The list should include sources such as books and articles produced by other historians, which relate to the area of your research, your specific question, and its larger significance. You should have full citations to these sources arranged alphabetically.

Finally, develop a tentative working title for your project to include on your research proposal, and conclude with a (likewise tentative) statement of what answer you think you will find to your question by pursuing this research.

Topic- What influenced “Japanese culture” such as Buddhism, Confucianism, and other elements. Focusing on on the early days of japan. Since its a proposal it doesnt have to be comprehensive just need to demonstrate that you can accurately identify a relevant range of materials.
