For this assignment you are responsible for developing a 25-slide power-point presentation on a mental
health issue. Please follow the guidelines listed below.
1) TITLE PAGE
Include a title page that includes a catchy topic to your mental health topic, your name, and the date.
In addition, be sure to clearly state your targeted audience. An example is provided below.

2) MENTAL HEALTH POWER POINT PRESENTATION
For this project you are to develop a 25-slide PowerPoint presentation on a mental health issue. Be
sure that the information is accurate, and research supported. To ensure this, you are required to have at
least 10 professional references. References may come from journals or reputable web sites (those with
URLs ending in <.edu> or <.gov> or <.org>). Web sites that have URLs ending in .com are not
acceptable for this project. Make sure that you cite your references within the text of your power point
presentation using superscripted numbers. Then list all of the references on the final slide of your power
point presentation. Follow the steps below:
A) Choose a mental health issue that is of interest to you. This presentation should be professional
and interesting!!
B) Decide the most important points regarding this issue and make those your subheadings.
For example, a presentation on spirituality and mental health might address the following
subheadings:
❑ Why is Spirituality Important?
❑ The Effect of Spirituality on Mental Health
❑ Current Research Findings on Spirituality
❑ Ways to Improve One’s Spirituality
❑ Where to Go for More Information on Spirituality
❑ Resources
C) Obtain accurate information on this health issue from 10 professional references.
D) Include at least 10 professional references. References may come from professional journals or
reputable web sites (those with URLs ending in <.edu> or <.gov> or <.org>). Web sites that have
URLs ending in .com are not acceptable for this project.
The following are a list of some quality journals addressing adolescent substance
abuse prevention: American Journal of Health Behavior, American Journal of
Health Promotion, American Journal of Health Studies, American Journal of Public
Health, Journal of Health Education, Journal of Primary Prevention, Journal of
School Health, Journal of Studies of Alcohol and Drugs, and Substance Use and
Misuse.
E) IMPORTANT – Be sure to condense your main points of each slide into bullets. Provide
your additional information (i.e., stats, examples, definitions, etc.) on your notes’ pages.
F) Include Photos and Pictures throughout your power point presentation to make it lively, colorful,
fun, interesting, and easy-to-follow. BE CREATIVE ☺ !!
G) On the notes’ pages of each power point slide, be sure to provide additional information of what
you would say to an audience if you were actually presenting to one (i.e., stats, examples,
definitions, etc.). The notes pages are at the bottom of each slide. These pages are intended for
presenters to provide themselves with additional points they plan to discuss with their audience
that are not shown in the power point. Cite references throughout the presentation (using
superscript numbers) and list your references on your “notes page” at the bottom of each slide
that they are cited. In addition, list all of the references on a final reference page at the end of the
power point presentation.
