This semester project is written from the collaborative perspectives and efforts of an interprofessional team comprised of Chief Nursing Officer (CNO), a Chief Nursing Informatics Officer (CNIO), the Health Information Technology (HIT) Department, and the Privacy and Security Department in a large healthcare system. The interprofessional team requests the creation of an Excel spreadsheet and a written report based on information retrieved from an EHR used in ambulatory care for patients with hypertension. As this is a simulation, you will not have data to study if the change improves or does not improve. Make the assumption that the change improves the process, but not at the expected threshold. This assumption will guide the Act Phase.
