Reflection
Students will write a 2-3-page reflection paper on the topic below. This reflection paper must contain specific detail of the course material read with concrete information, all supported with evidence and proof from the text and at least two other relevant academic material(s). The paper should also indicate how this topic can directly affect practice. This paper is due as per course outline listed in the links. The reflection should be submitted as Microsoft Word document, and be formatted according to APA 7th edition (with headings/subheadings). Three or more references are required. Title page is required, running header, appropriate headings/subheadings as per APA 7th edition (one can be the textbook) . Of course your references, in-text citations and Reference page at the end of your paper must be accurate as APA7th edition.
Up to this point in the course, you gained greater knowledge of social relationships, social cognition, moral development and emotional attachments. How does the expression of depression vary across the lifespan? How does age influence the treatment of depression? What is the relationship between depression and suicide rate? How are age and sex related to the rate of suicide attempt and success? (You may also consider watching the Netflix series – “Thirteen Reasons Why”. If you utilize the series, then you may discuss some potential warning signs of depression, which may also lead to suicide risk. How can bullying be prevented in the different roles by the ones who assisted, reinforced, defend, and those who are basically outsiders of the bullying from the series? After having seen this, how does your view change of some things that also happen in real life? Do you feel this series offers a greater awareness of adolescent issues/needs or hinders progress?
