– Create a Bulgarian Disability History Timeline
Overview
Recalling the work you completed for the Unit 4 discussion questions, this option asks you to construct your own Bulgarian Disability History Timeline by combining your own original research with the repository of disability history our class has created (Unit 4 Discussion Board).
• Samples of Disability Timelines for reference:
o Disability History Timeline [http://www.ncld-youth.info/Downloads/disability_history_timeline.pdf]
o Eugenics Timeline [http://eugenicsarchive.ca/discover/timeline](part of the Eugenics Archive ) [http://eugenicsarchive.ca/]
Preparation
A. Review the repository of disability history created by our class (Unit 4 Discussion Board) & link it with your own investigation/research.
B. Determine if you would like to construct a Timeline that provides a chronological general overview of a specific period =OR= a Timeline that traces the chronological development of a specific topic. You are welcomed to focus on any area that interests you. If you need a little guidance with ideas, here is a list of possible approaches to take:
• For a General Overview, you may wish to consider chronicling one of these time periods:
o Before 1995 (broad overview)
o 1995-2000 (broad overview)
o 2000-present day (broad overview)
o 2018-present day (specific overview of protests in the capital city of Sofia)
• For a Topic-Specific Overview, you may wish to consider chronicling one of these options:
o Independent Living vs. Institutionalization + Personal Assistance
o Mothers Protests in the capital city of Sofia
o Accessibility Protests
o Arts and Activism
