Assignment Task Two (50%) (Individual Presentation)

The government of your respective country wishes to make a prestigious award for outstanding business leadership in the 21st century, at an upcoming national event. Your manager has asked you to select a high-profile business leader from an international organization, as a potential recipient of the award. The business leader can come from any country or business sector, but they must have demonstrated active leadership within the last 20 years.

For the candidate profile of the selected leader carry out a research to generate a slide presentation that makes a case for your candidate to be the recipient of the planned business leadership award. You should incorporate notes and references, within the presentation. The presentation document should be submitted electronically via Turnitin.

Record a 15-minute individual presentation video supported by your PowerPoint slides. Your slides will be expected to have good visual design and cogent content. You are required to send this video link to your tutor by the submission deadline.

Submission (for both tasks) via Turnitin (Moodle)

Soft copies of the documents generated for each formative task should be submitted electronically, using the Turnitin system (via Moodle), by the assignment due date. Please ensure that you follow the Turnitin submission instructions provided by your module tutor and guidance provided during module sessions.

Submission of assessments may be done on or before the published submission date. Assignments not available at this time will be considered as “late” unless an extension has been previously agreed, with the Programme Leader for your programme.

Specific Assessment Criteria:

Distinction (70% and above)

An excellent business leader profile is provided, coupled with a cogent reflection and critical discussion of personal, managerial and leadership attributes. The student provides excellent assessment of chosen leader’s skills and competencies using a good range of assessment frameworks. The write-up and slide presentation demonstrate use of a wide range of current secondary research sources. Referencing, grammar and presentation style will be excellent. The student makes a strong contribution to an excellent presentation.

Merit (60%-69%)

A good business leader profile is provided, coupled with a good cogent reflection and critical discussion of personal, managerial and leadership attributes. The student provides good assessment of chosen leader’s skills and competencies using a fair range of assessment frameworks. The write-up and slide presentation demonstrate use of a good range of current secondary research sources. Referencing, grammar and presentation style will be good. The student makes significant contribution to a good presentation
