Red nightmare
Red nightmare first televised by the CBS television network in 1962. Some of the cast in this movie include Jack Webb, Helen Donovan, Jeanne Cooper, Jerry Donovan, and Jack Kelly. George Wagner directed the film.
The film offers a frightening depiction of the United States and the Cold war propaganda and the Soviet occupation. The game begins with the panning camera that reveals the presence of Soviet soldiers in an ordinary American time. At the beginning of the film, a barbed wire is also revealed to depict that the Soviet Union trains its soldiers and spying infiltrators in Mark American towns. This act as a warning and a signal to what was to transpire in the film.
Jerry Donovan, what’s an average American is the main character in the film. He has three children, a wife, and an average home. Donovan shows signs of disinterest and complacency from his work at a defense plant. He misses his community meetings in the army reserve training. Wendy Donovan works at home to find his hometown transformed by the Soviet military occupation, something that the film’s narrator describes as a red nightmare. Donovan finds himself under Soviet control and must work longer hours. The local churches have been closed by the Soviets, and the narrator in cigarettes said something was to happen to Donovan.
Americans believe the Soviets possessed the society ahead of the individual. According to the film, America became a land of the blind full of brainwashing and thought control. Charlie Sheen in simple terms of good vs. evil in the possible world of bewildering complexity. There are, however, prophesized dangers that many may face
in their societies in the post-war world. The Americans had to preserve their traditional ways of Life by being vigilant and to preclude the threats that may destroy it.
