Research Proposal and Working Bibliography

The research proposal enabled me to develop writing and critical thinking skills since the research proposal offered a chance to explain the project’s importance and the ability to carry out the proposed research. Writing the research proposal was an effective way of applying critical skills essential in developing a valuable and yet essential piece of writing serving a real-world purpose. Doing research online was a bit challenging due to various sources with both relevant and irrelevant information. While researching online to gather evidence regarding the project, critical thinking skills were essential since they helped avoid fake information. Critical thinking was effective in expressing arguments and ideas in a language that others easily understood. While choosing the bibliography, I paid attention and read sources that will justify the need to carry out the research. Selecting the sources focused on the author’s credibility and value information to the research, regularly revisiting the ideas to understand the key concepts, and make reliable judgments.

Business Plan Assignment

The business plan assignment was essential in building the writing, reading, and critical thinking skills. Ideally, drafting a business plan demands a clear understanding of what I will write about and critically thinking about the business’s various aspects. A business plan is a roadmap to success since it offers clarity on the various aspects of the business. The business plan assignment was an effective way of understanding all the procedures and strategies necessary to lead a business opportunity into a real business project. Exploring various studies and opinions on the business plan offered an opportunity to brainstorm different ideas and think carefully through starting a new business. The business plan assignment was essential since it offered a chance to understand and write my business plan. Writing a business plan is an essential step since it enables one to consider vital factors and future actions. The business plan assignment enabled me to gain insights and understand running and setting up a business by reading various sources on how to write a business plan.

Discussion Quizzes

Discussion quizzes were essential in getting one to think deeply and make connections in the readings. Through the discussion quizzes, one identifies what they understand and what they don’t, which gave me a chance to read the course materials and better understand what is needed to understand the concept. Discussion quizzes improved my reading skills since they offered a good lead to discussing the course materials since one is curious to get the answers.

Class Discussions

Class discussions played a great role in the processing of information rather than simply receiving it. The class discussions enabled critical thinking about the course material. Knowing the content to be covered was not enough in the class discussions. There was a need to understand the concept and develop legitimate arguments about what I have to read from the course materials. Having a clear objective in mind during class discussions made discussions much easier. The class discussions enabled me to engage and understand new information and ideas. This is because while discussing, there are different perspectives on the topic that increase engagement and interest.

Samples Posted

The samples posted were essential in establishing a conceptual understanding of the learning process. The worked examples were essential in offered a step-by-step demonstration of how a certain task should be done, thus supporting understanding. Ideally, the samples posted were essential in guiding my writing since they reflected different styles and formats of writing, depending on the particular task of the assignment. Viewing these samples during the course enabled me to know what the tutor or lecture would require in the assignment.
