Altruistic behavior is revealed based on meeting the interests and the welfare of another person before considering one’s needs. Being the firstborn in my family, I have developed characteristics that resonate with altruistic behaviors. It has made me encounter positive and negative outcomes. I am always thinking of how others feel and being there for them. I always put my family and significant others first before thinking about my welfare. For example, during the last Christmas holidays, I get gifts for everybody. I never think of myself until when others are comfortable and happy. When I do well for others, I feel positive about myself because of the love I have for those around me. Love is the first commandment in the Bible, and this encourages me to spread this virtue to others. I did not consider if I would receive the same treatment because my desire to meet people’s satisfaction has always been my primary motivation. Thus, I decided to provide everyone with gifts to brighten their day.
My compassionate make me an altruistic person. I am persistent in the desire to help people in need even when no one knows about me or the rationale for my deeds. I am also a generous person. I like sharing what I have with the people around me. I believe sharing is caring. This element enabled me to share what I had with my family members during the Christmas holiday. Notably, I also possess a high level of emotional intelligence that makes me an asset for individuals around me. I have a precise understanding of my purpose, desire, and motivation. Moreover, I use this characteristic to manage emotions and solve practical plights of life. The degree of emotional intelligence in me has made me reach so many people. Understanding and analyzing other people’s feelings are also part of me. This trait enabled me to equalize everyone when sharing the gifts to prevent negative feelings and emotions.
