Elections to the House of Representatives happened in November. Some of you have a new delegate to the house, some of you have a long standing delegate back in Washington. In either instance, I’m sure there is more you could learn about him/her. In your post, answer the following questions:

U.S Representative for California’s 45th Congressional District
I live in the 45th Congressional district in California, which is situated in Orange county. The district includes Tustin, Villa park, North Tustin, Irvine, Lake Forest, Rancho Santa Margarita and Laguna. Katie Porter who is a democrat is the representative of the district in the 116 United States Congress since January 2019 (US House Representative, 2020). Katie Porter defeated the republican Mimi Walters in the general election and has been the first democrat to win the election in the 45th congressional district.
Congresswoman Katie Porter has been at the forefront to putting Orange County families first fighting to restore ethics in the American politics. The three main issues that matter to Katie Porter include tax, healthcare and education (US House Representative, 2020). She belies that healthcare is a human right and that she is ready to fight for a system that will support healthcare. Katie will also fight the raising tax plan for middle class families and small businesses. Katie also supports quality public education to build the American dream. Katie Porters views are aimed at the growth and prosperity of America through improved healthcare, education, housing and reduced tax. I agree with Katie Porter that there is a need to improve the quality of life and prosperity of the Americans.
Katie Porter is passionate about fighting for the people and protecting the rights of the people holding the administration officials accountable for the American people. Katie porter is pressing on the stability of the democratic system to act and ensure that balances are designed in order for the government to work for the people. We share common ideas on the American dream, which are to ensure that every American achieve their dreams by having an efficient and effective government and fighting for individual liberty. From Katie’s perspective, we should continue fighting to protect the rights of the people and ensure that everyone has the capacity to achieve the American dream.
