Title VII of the 1964 Civil Rights Act and the Americans with Disabilities Act of 1990.

The government imposes various regulations and rules that impact business operations while the business has to respond to the policy and regulatory environments. Various Policies and Acts have been established to prevent discrimination as well as protect the rights of employees. The impact of regulations and legislation acts on organizations is considered significant. Ideally, the organization structure is impacted by laws since it has to be structured to respond and accommodate certain regulations and rules (Jones, 2013). Thus, every organization is forced to respond to the risks and challenges that are involved in dealing with and implementing the legislation requirements.

The 1964 Civil Rights and the Americans with Disabilities Act of 1990 impact the organizational environment since they shift the accountability standards of organizations. These two afford similar protections and prohibits discrimination to Americans based on disability. They offer civil rights protections to individuals with disabilities similar to those offered to people on the basis of sex, race, origin, color, religion, and age (Weiss, 2019). They also assure the equality of chances for individuals with disabilities in terms of access to employment, business, local government, and state programs.

Title VII is one of the significant laws that every HR professional needs to understand since it regulates the kind of employment action within the employer-employee relationship. Such laws have significant impacts since they affect the entire organization rather than a specific department. Therefore, organizations have to conduct a risk assessment as well as restructure their governance to incorporate the laws. The organization’s management has to come up with strategies and structures that ensure the growth of the organization with compliance with the laws. The neutral employment policies, procedures, and policies have adversely impacted the operations of business since there is a need to put reasonable accommodations to prevent discrimination.

Show how these changes are “good business,” that is, how they benefit the organizations and not just the employees within those organizations.

The importance of legislative laws is to resolve disputes, maintain order, and establish generally accepted procedures and standards to protect the liberty and rights of the employees (Jones, 2013). Legislation laws impact the strategies of organizations since they are required to come up with strategies that will accommodate laws. The legislative laws play a significant role in the promotion of equality within the organizations. The legislative laws aim at the organization’s employment plans as well as the health and safety of employees which contribute to increased productivity and ensure the survival of organizations (Leonard, 2018). Failure to adhere to the legislative laws can have negative impacts on the organization.

Considerably, most consumers will not associate with an organization that does not adhere to the legislative obligations. This is because they believe that legislative laws lead organizations. For instance, the disability and civil rights laws are frame in such a way that they ensure quality within the organization. This plays a significant role in increasing productivity since all employees are being treated fairly and equally.

By complying with the laws, the organization has protected its employees as well as creating a conducive environment where every employee feels safe. Employee satisfaction is highly linked to employee productivity and engagement. Considerably, when employees feel safe there is increased employee satisfaction which contributed to increased employee engagement and productivity. Employees feel valued when the operations of the organization are improved through the policies that increase efficiency.
