The argument by Jenny Luna is on the dangers of disposable cutleries and plastics to the environment. This is a comprehensive debate that helps us to critically think about future solutions, concerning the disposal of plastic materials, as a way of having sustainable environmental solutions. The author is keen on explicating more on the best solutions that people across the globe can undertake as a way of conserving the environment.

Plastic utensils according to Jenny Luna, are some of the most common trash items found in California, for example. This has greatly affected oceans and water bodies that contain more than 8 million tons of plastic. As a result, this poses severe harm to the sea creatures, especially when they consume them.  This argument is great and straightforward in that it comprehensively expounds on past practices by people, mainly on the use of plastics, which as a result leads to environmental degradation.  It hence seeks to identify better solutions to use in the future. One of the recommended solutions according to the author is the issue of edible cutleries, which will mean that there is less use of plastics or other harmful materials.

Another suggestion from the article is encouraging customers to bring in their own utensils to help businesses cut down costs and waste. If well implemented the suggestions by the author can be very helpful to society, where they can help minimize the rate of environmental degradation and ensure that there are better approaches to conservation efforts. Nevertheless, there is a need for further suggestions and efforts by all stakeholders, to ensure that there are sustainable solutions to the issue of conserving the environment.
