ANSWER
Criminal Justice
In the United States, a juvenile justice system was established to divert young offenders from any form of destructive punishment outlined in the criminal Court while encouraging a rehabilitation in relation to juvenile’s needs. Juvenile justice system differs from an adult or criminal Court as it views a juvenile as a child or adolescent as a person in need of an assistant as a criminal when brought before the Court. Although, juveniles are not prosecuted with a crime but with a delinquencies, they are not taken to prison but to a training school or a reformatory (Troutman, 2018). Juvenile system is not fair, as there are increased race discrimination cases, discrimination based on poverty, and accountability theory implementation on the juvenile system.
The juvenile system focuses on youth rehabilitation and integration of their success in the community. Unfortunately, youth face grave consequences. It is because justice-concered or involved individuals are attributed with a lower high school graduation, high unemployment rates than their age mates or the general population (Robles-Ramamurthy & Watson 2019). Juveniles experience a high level of eviction, and homeless factors perpetuate racial disparities in the justice system.
Poverty, high unemployment levels, and list juveniles are coming from low-income families creating disparities (Tamar, 2012). Unfortunately, it is easy for the system stakeholder to blame a juvenile rather than working to of transform and examine the policies and practices that might contribute to these disparities. Moreover, the lawmakers and the politicians complain that the current budget crisis has a negative effect to the low-income families limiting their ability to access help services. As a result, of this cynical impact, the juvenile Court processes youth family and the adjudicating children delinquents because of poverty in an inherently unfair method.
Juveniles are protected from life without parole, death penalty and in age-inclusive mirrored inheritance. This implies that the variances between juveniles and adults do not dissipate the convention stages. The accountability theory is unconstitutional as applied with the juvenile in that the juveniles are not psychologically prepared, and they are prawns to poor decision-making peer influence and nearsighted (Troutman, 2018). They are from the accountability theory. It is unfair, and it should be abolished in the juvenile system.
