ANSWER

In war-fighting, capability requirement generation is the most significant section in a detailed acquisition procedure within the defense department. Weapon system’s end users do not care much about its acquisition process and sources of finances; however, they are passionate about its features such as survivability, maintainability, and performance characteristics. Its creation’s main intention was to uphold the statutory responsibility of the requirements oversight division to legalize joint war-fighting needs. Lately, the joint capabilities integration and development system has been criticized a lot. From a view of modern literature, it appears that the process could lead to a relative reduction of the United States military power and might lead to the death of the republic. The paper thus discusses how the JCIDS procedure affects the warfighters directly and indirectly.

Direct Impacts on War-Fighters

The joint capabilities integration development system was created as planning equipment to solve risk associated capability gaps through both materials and non-material solutions. The process’s intentional status maintained prudent due diligence in validating and prioritizing requirements, increasing interoperability, and decreasing redundancy (Zinn, 2018). In war-fighting, the JCIDS has to control and keep up with operations’ speed on the ground. JCIDS increases validation of needed items based on joint war-fighting via its main purpose, which is based on encouraging the joint oversight council’s responsibility of statutory documentation. This makes it effective to accomplish a responsibility based on evaluating the warfighters’ needed capabilities in supporting homeland defense national policy and that of national defense (Lee, 2016). JCIDS is still under programs controlled by the military acquisition process, starting with identifying and examining the fundamental requirements. As described in the CJCSI 3170.01G, joint capabilities and development system is a joint strategy utilized in the managing required process (Britnell, 2018). Through this initiative, upholding the joint warfighters’ wants increased more straightforwardly and technologically. The system also acknowledges the independence of excellent operations associated with discipline to protect the fighters’ schedule and operation.

Indirect Impacts on War-Fighters

Since the procedure engages the acquisition process, it indirectly embraces joint fighters’ wants by providing the needed solutions and materials to manage both existing and future capability gaps at an affordable cost. The congress and military have further enhanced the acquisition system by creating effective change in technology and threats, which detects waste and abuses, therefore improving these joint warfighters’ work. Still, the modification programs of the division of defense 5000, JCIDS, have benefited the joint warfighters, allowing them to accomplish current and future requirements (Schlomer & Campbell, 2018). The system also has rules and directives which the warfighters must follow and respect. Issues affecting these people have also been addressed; for instance, inadequate input of warfighters has been identified. The system has also ensured joint operations where the army and the service function together in satisfying the wants of these individuals within an appropriate time.

Conclusion

The system has diverse advantages to the warfighters and must thus be protected and improved. Its background must be revised through proper training, motivated by the existing defense acquisition university computer-based initiatives. JCIDS staffing training is also essential, modeled off the army’s successful capability developer’s course. These new changes can have a lasting positive effect of implemented promptly and correctly.
