Abstract

The paper will be answering and discussing the questions given in the model review questions. It is derived from various sources, three basic review questions relating to the lesson learnt. Explain the concept of a crawler search engine, how has the utilization of mobile technologies impacted search engine optimization practices and describe how mashups create new benefits and functionality from existing data or information.

Explain the concept of a crawler search engine.

A crawler search engine answers the searches being requested over the internet to get relevant information as pertained to the query search. The crawler search engine concept can visit webpages, collects various URLs and hyperlink that it visits, and creates an index according to the user-programmed instructions (Mor et al., 2018). It is referred to as the crawler since it creates a trace of webs with hyperlinks that are being visited by creating an index. For the content on the internet to appear, it should be visible on the search engine. The crawler search engine has its functions, which keeps changing according to the speed of the website, the variations in the web pages, and bulky pages (Mor et al., 2018). The crawler search engine also scans websites and loads what is being requested by enabling the quick return of the search engine results.

How has the utilization of mobile technologies impacted search engine optimization practices?

Mobile technologies have impacted search engine optimization practices by enabling the webpages to be modified for mobile. The mobile phones have become friendly with the search engine and appears on the index (Gautam, 2019). Mobile technology has raised the quantity of internet content when searched at any particular time. Most individuals prefer using mobile phones to access the internet than personal computers since phones are easily portable. Thus, this offers a higher chance of accessing the internet using mobiles at a given time. One of the major ways people used in making of animation and dynamic contents in earlier days, was through the use of a web program referred to as Flash. Mobile phones do not support the web program in its browsing due to security reasons plus its resources are intensive in rendering, which makes it much more death knell for mobiles site currently (Gautam, 2019). With a lot of information and data gathered through mobiles and being uploaded, the information being created with mobile phones is much more effective and easily used than regular content. Using mobile phone browsing is strongly preferable since it has a higher speed of loading pages.

Describe how mashups create new benefits and functionality from existing data or information.

Mashups usually integrate more than two kinds of data into one graphical interface, highlighting the importance of the graphical representations. It usually summarizes the bulk information to a single representation (Panchaud et al., 2017). For instance, it is capable of summarizing an organization’s performance. It is also in a position to show the trends of the organization’s performance and offer insights of the organization’s future performance. Mashups also create newer benefits and functionalities from the existing information. It uses various information from the webpages and presents it in a different format although not in the original format. It may also increase the information’s significance as it was collected from various sources (Panchaud et al., 2017). The mashups mash information from various sources and put them together by creating a format of information that was inaccessible before.

Conclusion

Regarding to data validation with various sources might be problematic. Therefore, search analytics should be given a chance to provide outstanding outcomes basing on the previous search contents and patterns.
